PrimeHTTPD was conceived as ISPrime saw a need for an enhanced web server that would be able to serve static content quickly and efficiently. After committing thousands of development hours we have come up with a product that we believe far surpasses all existing solutions on the market.

While PrimeHTTPDs origins are in serving static content quickly it has evolved to be much, much more. PrimeHTTPD's latest release supports basic PHP execution, and does so without slowing down static content serving.

PrimeHTTPD supports GZIP Compression to save you bandwidth, directory listing support, anti-hotlink protection, integration with PrimeAuth and ISPrimeCop for members area authentication and leaked password / bruteforce protection as well as disk I/O, TCP and missing file enhancements and optimizations to serve your content even faster.

PrimeHTTPD forms the backbone of the ISPrime Media Delivery Network.

When running as a CDN caching server PrimeHTTPD will cache files off of another of your web servers. PrimeHTTPD will re-check at a defined interval to see if the file has been updated and will automatically update it's cached copy within minutes. PrimeHTTPD can completely obsolete the concept of syncing your content between servers.

If you have a large content directory with many symlinks pointing to your multiple mount points, our VirtualDir support allows you to map different files to various locations showing up as just that, one large Virtual directory, without having to maintain large lists of symlinks or breaking up content into subdirectories unnecessarily.

PrimeHTTPD comes equipped with an intricate server status page that allows you to see vast amounts of detail on what is going on internally to the web-server, as well as specific performance attributes for every connected client.

Through all of the expansions to the features of PrimeHTTPD, it's core competency has never been abandoned. Our proudest achievement is still the speed and efficiency that PrimeHTTPD offers. PrimeHTTPD works so well that you will have to see it to believe it.
